Multi-Gigabit 10G RJ45 Connectivity
The eight primary RJ45 interfaces support 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G Ethernet, making the CRS312 suitable for mixed-speed networks where newer 10G systems must coexist with 2.5G and 5G workstations, servers, access points, and storage devices.
Flexible 10G Combo Ports
Four additional combo interfaces each provide both an RJ45 connector and an SFP+ cage. One physical interface from each combo pair can be active at a time, allowing administrators to choose between 10G copper or fiber depending on cabling distance, equipment, and network topology.
High-Capacity Switching
The Marvell Prestera switch architecture provides up to 120 Gbps of non-blocking throughput and 240 Gbps of switching capacity, allowing the switch to move large volumes of traffic between high-speed interfaces without creating unnecessary bottlenecks.
RouterOS v7 or SwOS
The CRS312 can boot either RouterOS v7 or SwOS. SwOS provides a streamlined interface for Layer 2 switching, while RouterOS adds advanced features such as VLANs, routing, firewall functionality, monitoring, scripting, and additional network management tools.
Redundant Power for Critical Networks
Two built-in AC power supplies provide power redundancy. If one power source becomes unavailable, the second supply can keep the switch operating, making the CRS312 suitable for professional environments where network availability is important.
