Orientek TFI-35 Live Optical Fiber Identifier
The Orientek TFI-35 helps technicians identify optical activity and signal direction on accessible fiber. Its clamp-on design supports live-fiber identification without disconnecting the fiber under test.
Designed for installation and maintenance work, the instrument displays relative optical power and recognizes identification tones. Interchangeable holders accommodate supported fiber and cable sizes.

Live Fiber Identification
Use the TFI-35 to help distinguish fibers and check the direction of a detected optical signal before maintenance. Select the correct holder and position the fiber carefully.
Tone Detection
Recognition of 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz signals supports tracing when a suitable modulated optical signal is present. The identifier detects these tones; it is not presented as a tone-generating light source.

Two AA batteries. Batteries are not included.

Important: Diameter alone does not guarantee a reliable reading. Fiber construction, bend sensitivity, signal level, and correct positioning affect detection. Do not clamp the instrument over an unsupported cable jacket or force the fiber into a holder.
