Intellinet 162470 Cat5e 12-Port UTP Wall-Mount Patch Panel
The Intellinet 162470 provides a central termination point for unshielded Cat5e network cabling. Its 12 RJ45 ports organize cable connections and make it easier to change equipment assignments using patch cords.
Designed for wall or other suitable surface mounting, this compact panel is useful in installations where a full-size equipment rack is impractical. It supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications when installed as part of a suitable cabling system.

Structured Cabling and Connectivity
Terminate installation cables at the punch-down connections, then use RJ45 patch cords to connect the front ports to a switch or other network equipment. This arrangement keeps fixed cabling in place while allowing equipment connections to be changed.
Ethernet Performance
The panel is intended for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T applications. Actual link performance depends on the complete cable channel, termination quality and connected equipment.
Installation
Use compatible unshielded Cat5e cable within the specified conductor range. Follow the panel's wiring markings and use a suitable 110 or Krone punch-down tool.
Important: This is a passive patch panel, not an Ethernet switch. Each port requires its own cable termination and patch connection. The panel does not distribute one network connection across all 12 ports.

Important: The linked patch cord is for front-port patching, not a recommendation to cut off its connectors for rear termination. Check conductor gauge and cable construction separately when selecting installation cable.
This is an unshielded Cat5e panel. Installing higher-category or shielded cable does not make the completed channel Cat6/Cat6A or provide continuous shielding through the panel.
