Intellinet 510530 Fast Ethernet WDM Single-Mode Media Converter
The Intellinet 510530 connects copper Ethernet networks over single-mode fiber. It provides one 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port and one SC fiber port, supporting fiber links up to 20 km when paired with the complementary Intellinet 510547.
Bi-directional wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) carries traffic in both directions over a single fiber strand. The 510530 transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1310 nm, making it useful for extending existing Ethernet connections while conserving available fiber strands.

Single-Strand Fiber Technology
WDM separates transmit and receive traffic by wavelength. Pair the 510530 with model 510547, which uses the opposite optical wavelengths. The connection provides a 100 Mbps fiber link; using one strand does not increase the link speed to Gigabit Ethernet.
Connectivity
Connect the RJ45 port to a compatible Ethernet switch or other network device using Cat5e or better cabling, up to 100 m. The fixed SC optical interface connects to the remote converter through single-mode fiber.
Power and Installation
An external power adapter is included. Use the supplied adapter and follow the input rating printed on the actual converter. The RJ45 connection is for Ethernet data; PoE powering is not specified for this model.

Compatible Products
The fiber connection requires a complementary Fast Ethernet WDM converter with matching single-mode fiber requirements and opposite transmit/receive wavelengths. Intellinet specifies model 510547 as the remote partner for the 510530.
- Manhattan 560689 8-Port Fast Ethernet Switch – connects to the converter's RJ45 data port using Cat5e or better Ethernet cabling. Each device requires its own power supply.
Important: Two 510530 converters do not form the specified WDM pair because they use identical optical directions. Models 545068 and 545075 are Gigabit converters and are not the specified fiber partners. An SC connector alone does not establish compatibility.
