The MikroTik KNOT LR8 Kit is a feature-rich IoT gateway designed to seamlessly integrate legacy and modern devices into a single communication system. It is an out-of-the-box solution for LoRa® technology, featuring NB/CAT-M cellular connectivity, 2.4 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS positioning, RS485/Modbus, and dual Ethernet ports with PoE-in and PoE-out support. With its extensive protocol support and versatile connectivity options, the KNOT enables cost-effective, remote IoT deployments across diverse industries, from agriculture and asset tracking to industrial automation and smart city applications.
The KNOT comes pre-configured with a UDP packet forwarder to support both public and private LoRa® servers. It features 8 LoRa® channels, Listen Before Talk (LBT), and spectral scan functionalities, ensuring efficient and interference-free operation. This makes it ideal for low-bandwidth, long-range IoT applications that require minimal power consumption while maintaining robust data transmission.
