Connector End-Face Inspection
Use the TFM-200 to visually examine supported connector end faces for contamination and scratches. It assists with connector preparation and troubleshooting but does not measure optical power, insertion loss, return loss, or link performance.
Manual Focus and Dual Illumination
Adjust the focus knob while viewing through the eyepiece. Select axial or side illumination to examine the end-face surface under different lighting conditions.
Adapter Compatibility
The included adapters accommodate the documented connector families: LC UPC connectors through the 1.25 mm adapter, and SC, FC, and ST UPC connectors through the 2.5 mm adapter. Connector polish and accessibility must be checked in addition to ferrule diameter.

Inspection Safety
Important: Inspect only disconnected fibers verified to have no optical power present. Check with an appropriate optical power meter before looking through the microscope. Do not use direct eyepiece inspection on a live fiber.

Optical safety: Disconnect the fiber from optical sources and verify that no optical power is present before eyepiece inspection. The microscope is not an optical power detector.
