Ubiquiti UP-AirQuality UniFi Vape Detection & Air Quality Sensor with PoE
The Ubiquiti UP-AirQuality is a PoE-powered vape detection and indoor air quality sensor designed for schools, workplaces, hospitality environments, healthcare facilities, retail locations, and other commercial spaces. Managed through UniFi Protect, it provides real-time environmental monitoring and instant alerts from a compact sensor that can be installed on a wall, ceiling, or table.
The UP-AirQuality monitors multiple indoor environmental conditions, including CO2, PM1, PM2.5, PM4, PM10, VOC, AQI, temperature, relative humidity, and vape-related air quality events. Its 1 Hz sampling rate enables continuous monitoring for fast detection of changing indoor conditions.
Integrated vape detection makes the sensor especially useful for schools, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, hospitality properties, and other indoor areas where administrators need rapid notification of potential vaping activity. Events and environmental data are integrated directly into UniFi Protect for centralized monitoring and alerts.
A single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection provides network connectivity while standard PoE powers the device, simplifying installation without requiring a separate electrical outlet near the sensor.

Real-Time Vape Detection
The Ubiquiti UP-AirQuality continuously analyzes indoor air conditions to detect vape-related events and can generate alerts through UniFi Protect. In addition to vape detection, the UP-AirQuality measures CO2 concentration, particulate matter at multiple particle sizes, volatile organic compounds, Air Quality Index, temperature, and relative humidity. This provides facility managers with a broader view of indoor environmental conditions instead of relying on a single-purpose sensor.
Integrated with UniFi Protect
Environmental readings and detection events are managed through UniFi Protect, allowing administrators to monitor the sensor alongside compatible UniFi Protect devices and receive notifications when important events occur.
