The IU-ODN-CAB-FIG8-012-Mini-4KM is an unarmored fiber optic cable designed for aerial overhead installations. This cable is designed to provide excellent mechanical and environmental performance, with good flexibility and bending capabilities. Its small outer diameter and light weight make it easy to install.
The fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. Kevlar inside the outer jacket provides additional strength. This part of the cable, accompanied by the wires as the supporting part, is completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath to form a figure 8 structure.
