Ubiquiti U5G-Max-Outdoor UniFi 5G Max Outdoor
The Ubiquiti U5G-Max-Outdoor is a full-performance 5G outdoor modem built for UniFi consoles and Cloud Gateways. It combines up to 3.4 Gbps 5G NSA downlink performance, a 2.5 GbE RJ45 network interface, and PoE power input in a weather-resistant enclosure designed for outdoor deployment.
This model uses embedded directional cellular antennas and supports dual SIM operation for failover. Ubiquiti lists certification with AT&T and T-Mobile, with a note that T-Mobile Home Internet SIMs are not supported and a data-only plan is required.
Outdoor 5G Connectivity
The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is designed to extend cellular WAN access to locations where the modem needs to be mounted outside for stronger signal placement. Its antenna system includes six embedded cellular antennas, with two high-gain downlink antennas rated at up to 9 dBi in an 85° x 85° pattern.
Deployment Notes
The enclosure supports wall or pole mounting and offers IPX6 protection, or IP67 when used with the cable-gland door kit. It operates from -40 to 65 °C and is powered over Ethernet, which helps simplify placement in remote outdoor installations.
