Webinar Insider’s Guide to UniFi Cloud Gateways April 9, 2026, 6:58PM 53m 26s Juliana Florez 1:58 Hello, everyone. Welcome to this webinar. Thank you for joining us today. We're excited to have you here with us today. We're going to talk about the entire guide to Unified Cloud Gateway. We have a special guest from Ubiquiti. We have Andrew Piper here with us. So thank you, Andrew. And yeah, I think we're ready to start. So you hold the floor. Andrew Pieper 2:26 All right. Great. Thanks, everyone, for making the time today. I always enjoy getting to meet with you. I'm going to go ahead and share my screen. And today we're going to go through, instead of doing a slide deck, I thought I would take you through some of the resources on our website to kind of guide our conversation today. As always, if you have questions throughout this, feel free to throw them in the chat or the Q&A section here in the the webinar. I would like to be able to answer those questions throughout. And I know we don't always get to meet you in person, so we do events when we can, but it's just nice when we get together that I can try to be a resource for you to answer some questions you have along the way. So please do feel free to ask. And again, thanks for making the time. Today we're going to be talking about Cloud Gateways. And these are a really important category of product for us. And we find that this is in times past, our CEOs refer to this as like a force multiplier. It's the component that you deploy if you're deploying, selling unified to a customer. If you put one of these in place, it enables a lot of future growth in sales. And so it's a big part of being successful with the product. Now, not every deployment is going to have a cloud gateway. Of course, we understand that. But today, we're going to try to go over the product category, help you understand when to use it, the different products that are available, and the benefits of using the platform. Before we get started, I just want to do a brief introduction. So this is our website, ui.com. So if you ever need to go out and grab some marketing resources or screenshots or things, this could be a really nice resource for you to engage with your customers. Just for Unified, kind of give you a big picture of where we're at. We have positioned ourselves as being an end-to-end IT solution. So, you know, we started in the networking space, and that's where we're kind of known for. You know, we started an outdoor wireless, but we've really grown to be one of the largest access point vendors in the world. I've been told we even ship more access points than anybody else. And we've grown really quickly for a few reasons, right? So we are known for having really good quality hardware. So our hardware not only works well, but it looks nice. And you're not afraid to put this in your workspace. And we are a license-free solution, of course. So it's cool as you buy the hardware, that's all we're selling to you. And then we add on a whole bunch of other stuff to help make it even more valuable for you and for your end customers that you're selling to. Unify offers like the easiest management experience, I would say. Set up is straightforward, simple. You don't have to have a certification to be able to do Unify. And as you know, a lot of times there's a lot of companies out there that need a full IT solution, but don't have the personnel to be able to manage something more complicated or difficult. Unify makes it so anyone can use that product. And we're always retooling and improving the way that we do things in Unify to even make it more efficient and easy to use. And we keep coming out with more and more software features and things that help you scale better. Now, what's unique about Unify as a company? We are, I would say, the largest vendor in terms of who our customer base is. Out of all the other vendors in the enterprise space that can service, you know, stadiums, large enterprise environments like us. Most of those aren't, they don't have any market presence on the home users because there's expensive license fees and it's honestly just not affordable to operate at home. What's cool with Unify is we are using everything from the... can use for everything. What's great about that too is when you're selling Unified to a customer, don't think of it as just a one-time install. Unified, especially when you get the cloud gateways with a customer, naturally lends itself to a lot of return customers. So you'll find if you go install a Unified gateway as opposed to another third-party vendor gateway, you'll find that you have more opportunity to sell to that customer. long-term by deploying Unify. And part of that is because it's such a good experience. People like using the product and they love that it's a license-free solution. And it has all these really nice features that help customers get a lot of value out of it. So I tell a lot of MSPs integrators, which I assume many of you are on the call today, that Unify represents the best long-term growth opportunity and it's sustainable. You can actually, customers can afford to upgrade to unify and can use, you know, our products and it lends itself to that recurring revenue growth. Now, of course, that brings us to the last point, which is we provide software updates for free. So despite the fact that, you know, we're the only vendor in the market that does, that provides the software in the enterprise market that provides it for free, we also have the most, I would say, the most rapid development process of any of them. We're releasing more features all the time that can continue to augment and improve the capabilities of the hardware devices that we sell. And what's great about that for your customers is if you say sold them a network install two years ago, they've continued to be able to add on more and more features that we've released that continue to improve the way that they get value out of the product, despite not increasing that investment over time. And same goes for you as you deploy more and more Unified. You'll find that we release features all the time that help make it easier for you to manage your deployments with Unified than with any other product and help you scale up, you know, more than ever. So, again, that's really part of the reason I think customers are so happy with Unified and why we grow so quickly is we offer a really positive experience that just improves, despite... You know, we're a very affordable and accessible product. Let's go on and let's talk about Cloud Gateways, which is what we came here to talk about today. Now, this is a really important piece of our ecosystem because, as many of you know, the Cloud Gateways performs that necessary role of acting as the firewall device for the network, blocking out, you know, potentially dangerous traffic and allowing the users to control what's allowed into their network and out from their network. So it not only plays that role of the firewall device, but it also acts as the software, as the device manager. So like in other software, in other, sorry, in other vendor solutions, they sometimes have a controller that you have to install separately to the network equipment. With Unify, we consult it all into one device, which is that cloud gateway. So it acts as that that router, that firewall, and it manages all the devices in the network, including we have devices that manage, many of our cloud gateways manage all of our applications. So it becomes the only piece that you need to be able to start adding on video cameras, to add on door access control solutions, access points, switches, and so on. And so this is really important. piece that if you get into a customer site, it lowers the barrier of entry to be able to go back and sell them on physical security in the future. And it's accessible to customers of the smallest business. So we are known for, with our platform, it's very easy to deploy and it's accessible to even the smallest businesses. Our firewall policy, what's cool about this is that small businesses, you can offer a solution with unified cloud gateways that has enterprise quality security like firewall zone matrix, being able to create zone-based firewalls. So we've improved the firewall platform to make it much more scalable and easy to create rules for. We also have really simple and easy, I'd say the easiest on the market SD-WAN solution, which is completely license free. You can set up in just a few clicks, as you can see here. You can set up a hub and spoke deployment, you know, hub and spoke, including 1000 sites, all within 15, 30 seconds. And I've done this myself, but this is so much easier than it is with other products. And when you take out the fact that you don't have to have a license fee in order to use this feature, I think you'll find that our SD-WAN platform is exactly what most customers want and what they need. We also offer one of the improvements we made in recent years, we used to only support two WAN connections. So if you had one primary and one backup WAN connection, that was all you're able to have. We've now increased it to where you can have up to 8 WANs with our UDM series, for instance. And this also includes, you can also add on 5G backup solutions, which we've released recently that even augment this further. And we can see here, when you configure this in this screen, you can go ahead and configure even SLA policies to configure when failover is going to happen, if there's a certain amount of drop packets and so on. But you can also share that, you can load balance. between these multiple WAN connections as well on any of our gateways. We also offer a lot of troubleshooting resources through this tool, through our cloud gateways. You can use this to actually identify potential issues and problems with security traffic. You can see if people are accessing problematic domains, and you can also help ensure that There's quality of service on that network for what necessary applications there are. We also support enterprise quality, intrusion prevention, and threat protection. And we even have our new cybersecurity service, which can be added on to any of the gateways that adds on enhanced threat definitions. So Proofpoint, some of you are familiar with them, we've partnered with them. as the provider of these of their threat definitions that we offer, and so they provide, you know, zero-day protection against threats, and I'll allow you to update that frequently, including, you know, dedicated teams to research threats and apply those threat definitions to your network. And these are just some of the simple features we can also do lots of other things like content filtering. We've also got a partnership with Cloudflare. I'll show you that if we get a minute in this. Call, you can even block over 100 categories, but it's really a full feature platform, and the idea here, from my standpoint, is with Unify, you can deliver enterprise quality firewall features to a small business and still be affordable, and without those recurring license fees, and what... And also you can compete with, use Unify to compete with those very expensive enterprise next generation firewall devices. We have features like SSL inspection. We're one of the only platforms out there that offer license-free SSL inspection. But these types of features help us be very competitive on the enterprise side as well. So what's great about Unify is you can even bring the enterprise quality features to your home. And that's what makes this a very popular option for people who need a firewall device in a small business. So we have several different lines here. And you know, on our website, what's cool is you can come here and check out. We've got enterprise scale, large scale, compact, Wi-Fi integrated gateways. I'm going to start with the enterprise tier. And this is an exciting area that we're growing at. We've been increasing the capabilities. Like over the last few years, we've really gotten parity with a lot of our larger competitors to be able to provide the same sorts of features that they provide. And with the Enterprise Fortress Gateway, this is really our most serious entry into the enterprise routing stack. and next generation firewall device, because it's really capable. You can do a lot more stuff that only this device is capable of doing. What's cool about the Enterprise Fortress Gateway is it includes all these features you see here. So you can check this on our website to kind of if you want to do a comparison, and especially go to our tech specs, which I recommend. You can take a look here and see what more details about what's supported. Like you can see here, you know, we have application aware layer 7 firewall features, SSL inspection, URL filtering, DPI, traffic identification, so on. And you can go on and compare this to other vendors, and you can see that, you know, we are very capable in our platform and competitive. And despite that, we come in at the most affordable price point of any solution out there. So use our tech specs at ui.com for getting information about this. You can naturally find it by browsing through each section on our website. But we can also do really nice things here where we can do comparisons between different products and we can look at their relative feature set compared to different products we're trying to decide. And we also can handle a large number of, this device can manage hundreds of network devices. Just something to note with the Enterprise Fortress Gateway is it only manages, it only manages the network application, so it doesn't manage, it doesn't manage your, you know, physical security. You want to decouple that in this case, you're going to use an Enterprise Fortress Gateway to then also have an MVR that's running the physical security equipment on our cloud key running talk. or whatever application that you need to run alongside this. But it's really great in Unify. Now you can merge those different applications, or sorry, those different appliances and have them merge into one site as if they're on the same device, but you actually get more scalability that way. But yeah, this is the just general features. I'm going to take a moment to just open up for some questions and see if anyone has any questions about anything I've covered so far. Or any questions about the Enterprise Fortress Gateway before we move on? Juliana Florez 15:05 I don't see any questions for now. Yeah. Andrew Pieper 15:08 All right. Great, we'll keep going then. So again, a great option if you, you know, when I'd say to use this product, if you're going to a company and they have, let's say they have a Fortinet gateway and they find that that's a little too expensive for them in terms of recurring costs, you can offer Unified Fortress Gateway as an alternative. And just basically what I would say, anytime you're going to an enterprise environment, just get a list of all the features they require and the requirements and what they need. Verify that we have full parity of it, which you'll find in 99% of cases we do. And then you'll see that our product comes in well under that price point. So it becomes much more of an affordable platform. Now, one thing to note, too, I haven't mentioned yet, but Data Fortress Gateway, as well as any of our rack-mounted gateways, includes VRRP failover. And this is a license-free feature again. What it means is you can have a second device that's paired to this device and it's connected to your network so that if that primary fails, which it even has a redundant power supply and all that on the back, but let's just say that it happens to fail. the appliance itself happens to fail, it will it will seamlessly transfer switch over that routing role in the the console to that other device, and it will it it is keeps a sync of that backup of that of that device, and so it can in real time just switch in and take over if that if that device goes offline. So I've seen this come in very handy in lots of cases, but that's part of the idea with our enterprise products is you can really architect very easily a high availability solution with no single point of failure. But just note that any of our rack-mounted gateways will do that. So we're going to go on into our large scale, which is probably our most popular category. Many of you have deployed these devices, the UDM Pro, which was the original, including the Pro Max and the Special Edition, which is the same as the Pro, but adds POE switching to the device. So really good for small sites where you have access to a rack mount. But here you can see the comparison tables you can build and unify just to verify, like you see here that all these devices run all the applications. So why would you consider using you know, one of these devices over another one. You can see here that the Dream Machine Pro Max, which is our most featured or most capable of the three devices, can do 5 gigabits per second of IDS, IPS throughput, whereas the others can do 3.5. This is If you need something more cable, let's say that you have, you know, 120 access points on your network or 85 access points on this large network, it might, it just makes sense then to go with the more capable Pro Max because it has double the capacity of the Dream Machine Pro or SE. So really, if you're going to turn on those security services especially, it's recommended that you upgrade this. Now, it's not a huge difference in price point, like we're talking about you know, only a couple $100 in price difference. So I think anytime you're really considering deploying Unify in a large network, and let's say that Enterprise Fortress Gateway is overkill what you need, then Pro Max is going to be where you want to start. Whereas Dream Machine Pro is going to be the more economical, the lowest cost option of the three. And then you can also determine if If by using the SE, you can get rid of a POE switch. Say there's only needs to be like 6 access points there, or four access points, and then, you know, a couple switches and things. This might be perfect for you there. Now, we also have comparison. The only other thing to note of these differences between these products, this one has more processing power and also has one 2.5 gig port on the Pro Max. But the other thing to note too is it's got a second hard drive bay. So if you're going to plan on using this for a small number of cameras, let's say that you have maybe, you know, 6 eight cameras that you want to manage in the site. And instead of getting an MVR, you can just leverage these two hard drive bays for data storage and ensure that you have enough storage to be able to meet your data retention requirements and all that. But really, these products are very, you know, have done very successful and they work for a large number of customers. and you'll find that they represent a good all-around option for virtually any deployment. It's a good starting point. If you need to go up more, you can go to our Enterprise Fortress gateway. If you need something more compact that doesn't fit in the switch, you can start looking at our compact gateways. But this is still, I would say, a really good product to center your offerings around. Okay. These also, as you can see here, it runs access, which means you can add on door access control products. So one thing that I tell a lot of MSPs and integrators, if you haven't done door access, like first of all, verify where you're located, that you don't require an additional license to install door access control solution, or you don't require an additional certification. Just research the requirements locally and fire code and all that to make sure that you're you're within the regulations required, but in many states, there's nothing extra required to do that. And what you'll find is in a lot of cases, I like to say, if you haven't done a lot of access, anytime that you're going to do a network job, say you're installing all this equipment in a network rack, it's a good idea to offer them at that time, say, hey, do you guys also want us to give you a way to secure the network? stack with the NFC badges or with our identity app and our endpoint app. And you can offer them just to add on like a UA Ultra and then without adding any additional devices, you can add a UA Ultra, connect it to a lock and have a door position sensor on it and everything. And that would be, you know, all you need for a door. in some cases, and that would be, you know, cost you just a few $100 to add on a door, and that gives them a chance to experience the access product and then decide if long-term they want to upgrade the rest of their office to be using that door access control solution. So it's a good answer. So just try to remember to offer this when you're deploying one of these cloud gateways that support all the applications. Just let the customer know that you can add on these cameras. or our access control solution or VoIP phones or digital signage displays and so on without having to add any additional overhead other than the devices themselves. So again, that's one of the benefits of Unify and one of the reasons that you want to deploy the cloud gateway whenever possible is it just helps you to, you know, to grow yourselves long term. What's cool is if, say, a customer didn't wasn't interested, Now you can go back to them in a couple of years and offer to add on some protect cameras to them, and maybe they're in a point where they're ready to make that move and it could be a way for you to continue to grow that deployment and your services you provide to them. So yeah, there's the Dream Machine Pro Max. I'm going to switch back here. But again, when you're making the decision, just go do a comparison table here. One thing I want to note real quick, too, for those When you're trying to decide which, which if a cloud gateway is enough for cameras, one thing you're going to want to look at is our unified capacity calculator. So I'm going to show you this real quick as a what just a resource that you need to be familiar with. So you can come in here and let's say you're deploying to a customer in a medium sized business and they're going to have maybe 20, 25 access points. Okay. That's a pretty large business, but let's just say that's what they want. And then you're going to turn on, we're going to also do, you know, several VPNs and maybe some security detections and things. Then we want to see how many cameras that we can handle with that device. So we can go in here to protect. And you can see the slider here. I can go ahead and add scale up to 15. protect cameras, 4K cameras. If it's 2K, you can do more, right? Like you see here, up past 20, it's a little, because what this is based off is what type of processing requirements are required to be able to show that video wall and show you all the. the recordings in real time and everything. So you can see here, just getting an idea, you know, it's reasonable to do 15 HD cameras and a handful of 4K cameras, and you'll have no problem. So just check this out. And you can also get an idea for estimating how much, you know, what size of hard drives you need and how much data retention that will give you for the number of cameras. which just becomes more valuable, especially when you deal with one of the NVRs that have large number of base to help you kind of size out how much storage you need. But here you can see if I go ahead and add on talk, it's no problem to add on 15 phones, 10 phones. I'm still well within the compute resources. But you can see here, this is one of the reasons that you want to, if you wanted the opportunity to grow into more solutions there on that one site. If you go with the UDM Pro, you're not going to be able to do that same amount of processing. So one reason I recommend. If you are ever going to push the limits here, or even if you're reaching towards the limit of what a UDM Pro can do, just consider upgrading to Pro Max, because it's well worth the price increase. of that product poses. So here you go, you can see the also hubs, like these are the number of doors. So you can see even with access, especially, it's not a whole lot of extra resource required. Just the one thing to note is if you have one of those readers with the camera, with the cameras built in like the G3 Reader Pro, that will also run towards your camera limit. So you'll need to include that in this list here. But again, this is a really nice resource to be able to compare the different options of managing and our different applications. And Unify offers a lot of flexibility to help you get the best solution for each customer. So let's say you have too many cameras, like you need, you know, 15 cameras at this point, you can decouple that from this. leave the network application and maybe you're going to use some talk phones on the UDM Pro Max, but you could just go ahead and add in a UMVR Pro, which then allows you to have that, you know, that scale of 4K cameras that you're wanting to have and more storage capacity as well. All right, let's see if there's any questions right now. I'm on the subject. So the question I thought I wondered if I would get this question from Josh. Does Ubiquiti expect any sort of impact center for the new FCC regulations on foreign manufactured network equipment? You know, I'm going to speak, this is just purely as a, this is not the opinion of my company. I can't express that because I'm not, I'm not, I'm not empowered to be able to represent our company's position. But I can at least say from my perspective, my individual opinion, I see that given that it's targeting consumer routers and our products are used in businesses, and you know, especially like you look at any of these rack mounted equipment, these are business grade firewalls. I don't think it applies to many of our products that we offer. And it doesn't apply, it only applies forward looking to approval. And then of course, there is a cutoff time of when They won't provide updates for home routers, consumer grade routers of a certain, that aren't given a whitelist. I know that there's an option to get approval and things like that. So who knows how it's going to shake out, but my impression is at least it doesn't seem to be targeted at a company like ours, which is US based and operated. And what I suspect that it's going to be used to exclude other vendors that we see as being a national security risk. But again, that's most my two cents, but I see it not being overly impactful to us. And in fact, you know, all basically all routers in the consumer grade routers are manufactured internationally and not within the US. So I think it represents the same challenge to us as it does to anybody else. Another question is the new version of Dream Machine Pro Max and the roadmap to be released soon. I can just say that we did show off a new Dream Machine product at our last trade show that's leaked online, so I feel comfortable telling you guys that. We were showing it off at public events, so there is a new product called UDM Beast that is that is coming out. I'm not going to provide any specific details on that, but I can tell you that it is coming in the near future, and that will continue to increase the capacity beyond what we could do with UDM products right now. So, yeah, to your question, Todd, it's possible that that product will also address your question, which is, what year will Ubiquiti for the need to have greater than 10 gigabits? per second WAN ports. Well, the answer is we already do with the Fortress Gateway and potentially we'll have with the new UDM, you might find that there's a, that's a feature that it offers that there'll be greater than 10 gigabit WAN, 10 gigabit per second WAN ports. So that's already coming and I think you will see that this year as the, you know, We can already offer that with the Fortress Gateway, but with a new product that we showed off at the trade show, I think you will see that coming. All right, thanks for those questions. I'm going to go ahead and go on then, and we can spend as much time on questions as we want, and I can take some time if we go through the remaining of the content. We can do some demos if we have time. But I'm going to go ahead and go back to our gateways and talk about, let's move on to our. a really growing area of our offerings, which is our compact gateways. These are really impressive products that offer a lot of capacity. And in fact, some of these products are very similar in terms of capacity to our Dream Machine platform. If you look here, you can see here that we have the Cloud Gateway Fiber, which is a 10 gig fiber SFP capable cloud gateway in a compact form factor with an integrated POE switch. And this can manage all the devices. It has a dedicated NVMe slot on it. I'm going to show you the tech specs page for it. And this is a very popular one at trade shows. People really like this product. It's very impressive. So this has similar capacities like the UDM Pro, UDM Pro Max, those do in terms of client capacity. You can see here in terms of number of, it can manage 50 plus devices. So it's not quite as capable as a Pro Max, of course, but still quite enough for any small business. even some larger businesses that are going to need 25 APs, you're still well under that limit there, right? And so this is, again, a really popular product at the price point that it's at, which is MSRP is 379, if I remember correctly. Just great value for what you get from this. So as I mentioned, it has a dedicated NVME slot on the side. You can purchase this with actual SSD drive in there already as a part of the store, and that increases the price, but proportion to what that cost to add the to physically add that hard to add that SSD. But this actually allows you to be able to use it for as an NVR as well and run all the applications. And this is again for for this. form fact, the size, the footprint, the price, this is a exceptional value in what it can do. And again, it can manage all the applications. We can manage up to five 4K cameras, but as many as 15 HD cameras through this device. And one thing to keep in mind too, if you're ever concerned that maybe, you know, your protect install is going to grow, is going to outgrow your cloud gateway, you know, you don't always have to go with more capacity on the cloud gateway side. Like what you can also do is as you reach that, you can start with one of these if it's close to the limit, you can always start with one of these. And if the customer's demand increases enough, you can add on an NVR model down the road to be able to facilitate the remaining cameras and just migrate this. from the UCG fiber to that NVR. And it's usually, it's a very simple process and it's not overly complicated. And that allows you to get all the benefits that you do from on one device, but you've allowed it to scale more. So just keep that in mind. You always have that option later on to go increase that and add. And you can see here, we can do up to a maximum 6 WAN ports, which is pretty impressive. for this device and really quite capable. And so basically what I would say is whenever you're trying to decipher a deployment, whether you should use a dream machine or a Cloud Gateway fiber, UVM Pro or Cloud Gateway fiber, I think a lot of times it comes down to do they have rack space for it? If they don't have rack space, if it's going to be in a, say it's in a restaurant or in a... small business that doesn't have a dedicated rack, you can't really go wrong with the UCG fiber, really good product. Now, UCG Max is similar, but it's going to be not geared towards the fiber connectivity. It's going to be about half as capable in terms of IDS, IPS throughput, but really a great all-in-one device, very manageable. And then our Cloud Gateway Ultra is really our best low-cost option for the most frugal of customers. So if you know the smallest budget possible, this only costs 129 and can manage all the network devices on that network you need. And at that price point, it's very impressive and low cost. So these are the these are the compact wired offerings that we have. We also offer some like cool like wall mounting accessories in cases you don't have like the ability to mount it. have it on the shelf or something. But these are great products and something you want to consider for those smaller businesses. And then that brings us to our last category that we're going to talk about, which is our Wi-Fi integrated solutions. Now, these have some really cool, exciting new products in this. One of my favorite, you know, these are all these solutions are very capable and a big upgrade over the previous generation. Some of you may have used the previous UDR or the Unify Xpress. The Xpress 7, the DreamRouter 7, both of those are a big upgrade in terms of capacity over the previous generation. So the Xpress was really limited in what it could do and was very not as capable as what some users expected whenever they bought that device. The Xpress 7 really addresses all those concerns and really can scale up a lot better. You'll see here that it's got very cable specs. The old Xpress could only manage, I think, three or four devices. This one can manage 30, so you can increase the capacity dramatically. Now, the Xpress 7 and the Dreamrider 7 are very similar in terms of their specs, just the main one of the main differences being that the DreamRouter 7 can manage all those applications. And it's going to be a little bit more featured than what you get from the Xpress 7. Now, let's talk about these new products that we have here. I'm going to go ahead and take you to our DreamRouter 5G Max. This is a really exciting product I wanted to spend a little moment on. What's so What's exciting about this is in the past, we've previously had a lot of gateway, a lot of people used in applications like small businesses, cafe settings, where they had to use a, they need point of sales equipment or point of sales software and everything to be online and then you'd be able to process credit card payments even in the event of a WAN failure. So a lot of these restaurants were having to use unified products. but then install a third party 5G capable device to be able to bring 5G connectivity or back up to the network. With the addition of our new 5G products, we have two new 5G modems, the E5G Max and then the E5G Outdoor Max. And those allow us to address that concern. But we also have the alternative of configuration of putting it all in one device, which is what this Dream Machine or the Dream Router 5G Max does is it takes the whole UDR 7 basically, and then adds on to that the 5G capabilities, including the nano SIM slots, and it can manage eSIM as well. And this also has an integrated micro SD slot here on the expansion slot on the bottom, so you can use this as an NVR as well for your cameras. You can see, just note here it doesn't do a whole lot of cameras, so you'll want to just keep that in mind. It's really adequate for a cafe if you want one that's pointed at the front door and one at the back door. Two of our ultra cameras would be great for that. But Really quite a capable product and the most versatile dream router that we've offered for sure. And I think you'll find that there's a lot of use cases for this. And I think it even lowers the barrier to entry to get a 5G cable network at that price point. It's very impressive. So I think this will be a very popular one. It just started. just got released very recently and will become more and more available as time goes on. But I think, again, you're going to want to consider this for any small business that has point of sales application or needs that network resilience to be able to operate in the event of an ISP outage. Sorry, let me show, let me show you the, I want to show you this just detail. I meant to show you this is my last, just so you can see in greater detail what the features are here. This is, it has that integrated screen in it. It's got the, it's got the nano SIM slots, the eSIM slots, and we've got a 10 gig fiber WAN port. Again, very capable device. And here is the micro SD expansion slot I mentioned. right here on the bottom of the device. So, questions for me about that? Anything before we move on? I think one other product on this category, I just want to mention the only other one we have have it covered here is Are UCG industrial? So let me refresh this page. Zoom in a little bit for you. Okay, so the ECG Industrial, this is going to be an interesting product as well. We'll have some interesting use cases. So basically, we've taken that Dream Router functionality like a Dream Router 7 and put that in an industrial enclosure. So it's able to be more resilient, can be mounted, more flexibly wall mounted. And also it can be rack mounted. And it has onboard SIM slots. So one thing just to note, this device isn't meant to be the equivalent of a 5G Max, but it's meant to be to help with if you want to be able to provision. So the idea here is, let me show you this, these two slots here, the two SIM card slots. The idea here is that if you have, say, install one of our 5G outdoor max on your roof and you want to help and you want to change your SIM cards that you have there, you don't want to get up on the roof, you can use these two SIM card slots to be able to provision and use that 5G modem. So this just means that if you use the slots on this device, you don't have to get up on the roof or the or wherever it's mounted to where it has a good signal, and you can instead do it right here on this device. So that's the purpose of these. Just note that this will not function as a 5G modem on its own. You'll still need to use one of the 5G modems to get the value out of these two slots. Again, very impressive capabilities. Wi-Fi 7 capable as well. And I think what you'll find is a lot of customers don't need industrial, but when you find the right customer that does, a lot of times they'll have a lot of installs. So example would be a utility company with a lot of substations that they want to have cloud connectivity to and build through SD-WAN with and things like that. It's a perfect fit for that type of use case. And we'll be very, and you'll find that Once you find the right customer, you can sell, you know, hundreds of these pretty quickly. They scale up very quickly. So that's the Wi-Fi integrated ones as well. And I think that's been a good portfolio overview of all the things that we offer. Just remember, you can go out to our tech specs and build your own comparison. If you're trying to decide between the 5G Max and the UDM Pro, you can go ahead and compare their capabilities and see what the differences and what they offer. But you can't really go wrong with these products. Just know the scale of what you're capable of. Check that capacity calculator out and make sure you check that based on what the customer needs, that you're not overutilized with that cloud gateway. Okay? All right, let's go ahead and check and see if some questions. One question: when is the new industrial switching? Juliana Florez 37:59 Yeah, we have a couple, Andrew, yeah. Andrew Pieper 38:01 Yeah, yeah. Is that what you were referring to, that question, about him? When is the new industrial switching profile be announced? I can just say that I don't know when we're going to announce that necessarily. We have a blog post, which is the only place that you can go for, I'll say, for reference on this. So you guys should be aware of this. Juliana Florez 38:07 Um... Ohh. Andrew Pieper 38:21 Just if you want to get an idea of what's coming. So for instance, we just announced our G6 Edge cameras, which is really cool. They can be deployed standalone without an NVR, and they also have integrated AI key-like functionality built into it. So a really impressive product. We just announced that. It's not, and you can see more details on that. So sometimes we're providing... information about price we haven't yet launched. So that question about the platform of our industrial initiative, you'll see here, this is a blog post where we talk about the new cloud gateway, but we also talk about the direction we're going with the industrial products. So check this out. You'll get a little bit of more information here, but I can't provide any more specifics about A switching platform just yet. All right, other questions for me? Juliana Florez 39:14 From Brian, he say, where is the MVR coordination of the of the Dream Router 5G Max? How many cameras will handle? Andrew Pieper 39:27 I think I might have answered that after you asked the question, but I'll go ahead and show you just to make sure that you know the answer to this. So you can go in here, so you can go into the device itself on tech specs and see here. But here we see the limit of the managed cameras is 1 4K camera, 2 2K, or five HD cameras. So again, just something to keep in mind, not a lot of scale there. So you can One thing you may do if you want, if you're going to have a decent number of cameras, you can always go with, say you need 6 cameras or like 6 4K cameras. You can just deploy this device for the 5G capabilities and the Wi-Fi 7 and everything else. And then you can also add on our UMVR instant, which is a really good low cost NVR option. This MSRP 199 includes a viewport built into it, which is cool. It also includes 6 POE ports. So it's basically we combine a POE switch, a cloud key, and a HDMI viewport all into one device. And each one of those costs 199 themselves. And this is cool about this device is it costs 199. If you want to add a hard drive for the additional storage, that is optional, but you can go ahead and plug that, you can add that on too for data retention. But that's again, very affordable, low price point, and very accessible. So you can always add this on alongside it if you need more than that, and that will be your NVR solution for a small business. Juliana Florez 40:46 Thank you, Andrew. And we have another one. What is the maximum number of switches supported in a stacking group for the ECS 48 SPOE and ECS 24 SPOE models? Andrew Pieper 41:02 Yeah, so just to this question, he's asking about our new, we're coming out with new switches. We've announced them already. You can see more information here. If you check out, we've got a placeholder forum on our store, so you can just see what this is. Let me take you to that real quick. Here, yeah, this right here. So I don't know what the total maximum group size will be with this just yet, but it's yet to be released. It may say here. I don't think it does. But I'm sure by the time we launch, we'll have more information about what the stacking looks like and how many. and how many stack switches you can have in one group. That should be coming out very soon, and we did announce a Q2 2026, so that would be any time between now and June is our best estimate right now. So I can't tell you just yet what the answer to that question is, but I'm sure we'll have that answer for you once we go ahead and launch. The. Juliana Florez 42:04 We don't have more questions now. Andrew Pieper 42:07 All right, cool. Let me go ahead and show you a few other things right now. I'm just going to go ahead and log into Site Manager here. And I'll take you through a demo of some of my sites. One moment here. Share my screen again. All right, so just a few things to note here. I want to go ahead and just show you. I mentioned Cybersecure. So Cybersecure is an option you can add on to any of your sites. We're actually offering it through distribution now too. So you can order this through Flytec, of course, or participating distributors. But basically what this means is I'm going to go ahead and choose one of my sites here and I'll show you real quick what's included in that. So you can go ahead and activate Cybersecure Enterprise. This is what this includes. You can, this is $4.99 a year for the Enterprise Fortress Gateway. It's less than that for each of the smaller form factory gateways. And it's based on how much resources this uses up to offer this enhanced threat protection. So just keep in mind, this is different for each SKU. You can go look at any one of the other ones. And you can see what the specs are on each one of these. And we actually have an article here that you can look at here as well that provides that detail. So this is the capacity of each one of these. And each of these products is a different price. So I think for the 55,000 capacity for the UDM models, I think it's like 199. And for the smaller form factors, I think it's $99. So just going back here, you can enable this. And when you enable this, you have the ability to then go in here. I'm going to go in here to demo. Mm. I think my demo might be offline at the moment right now, but I would like to show you that. Oh, here we go. It is online. Here it is. Okay, so let me just go ahead and show you now what this looks like in actual use case. So I'm going to go ahead and launch this and show you. So one thing that's really impressive about this, it also includes, in addition to this, the threat definition, cybersecure also includes our enhanced threat, or sorry, enhanced content filtering platform. which is something that we offer through. Cloudflare is actually the one that we use for this. You can go see here all the categories that are included when you enable this. I can go ahead and block all these adult sense of content. I can use these categories, crypto, so on. And you can get, it's very granular if you want to. want to block people from being able to learn about, navigate to religious websites, you know, paranormal, up to you, what you want to do with your network. You got all those options right here. But again, this is a nice feature that really adds a lot of value. This is really important for like schools. So being able to use it, we see a lot of customers in the using our enterprise stack in education market. And this is a really important feature because, of course, the kids, you're going to have to be able to block them from accessing content that, you know, could be compromising in the school. Also, you can block things like VPN access and stuff like that. So just, that's one of the, that's also included with cybersecure. So for the price point, I think it's a very good Value and. I think you'll find that many of your customers will be willing to add this when they can see what features it includes. But we just offer that for those that, you know, not, you know, a lot of other Vendors out there make you pay for that as a rule. But we have a basic version that without this that you can still use, but this is just in case you need that enhanced version. We have, we partnered with somebody else to provide that. And And that allows you to have that greater capabilities at a reasonable price. But other things on the, one other thing I wanted to mention too right now, since we're on this call, is we've introduced this new feature called Fabrics, where you can create groups of your customers. You can actually have all your customers, if say they have 10 locations, you can have all their sites grouped up into one organizational fabric here. This allows them to have one It can integrate with their SSO. So if they're using Entra, I can go ahead and bind this to their Microsoft Entra instance and have it sync up automatically to pull in all of their employee accounts and be able to manage permissions and sync them up with their Active Directory or whatever platform they're using. This is real-time sync, so we can we can have it set up to where with our endpoint app, which is available on iOS, Android, Mac OS, or Windows. You can do one, you can use one touch Wi-Fi, one touch VPN, one click soft phone capabilities with our with our VoIP phones. There's a lot of other features it offers. But what's cool about this is you can have, let's say you have an employee at a school, a teacher is terminated, no longer works there. As soon as they're removed from the SSO platform, it'll automatically sync them off the platform and they'll lose access to all those, to the Wi-Fi, to the VPN. And you don't have to go and change passwords or anything to make sure they can't access it that way. So again, it's a good way of making your security. Scalable for all your customers, and you can have them all in their each in their own container, and we even have coming out, we're not in and we're still in early access, but we'll have very soon device templates where you can you can actually. have a pre-configured template that you want to use for this, like cookie cutter for each of these types of sites. And you can even have like a switch device template will basically take, say you're deploying a lot of restaurants, you can take the switch and make sure it's got the PCI compliance, VLAN profiles and all the ports. And you can have that. cookie cutter and just duplicate that and apply it out to a device proactively without having to do the whole backup and restore thing that you have to do in unify and then even then you have to recreate so much. So it's going to streamline configuration management, but for cloud gateways, it's going to offer a lot of value in that you can, you'll be able to in the near future make configuration changes to firewall policies across all. All sites within for a customer, if they want to open up port, you know, 6065 for, you know, from this IP address, you can, instead of having to go into each site that they have and apply that manually, you can do it all at the global level and make those changes at one time. So again, these are some ways that we're coming out of features that help you guys get more value out of your products. as you increase the number of installs. And again, this is all features that are completely license free and don't have any costs associated with them. But I just wanted to show you guys that. Other questions for me right now? I think before we end the webinar, any other questions for me? Juliana Florez 49:02 No. No questions. Andrew Pieper 49:05 All right. Well, again, thanks for everyone for being... Oh, it looks like we have another question. Does 0 touch configuration include a building a phone home default configuration? I'm still in early access. We don't have that feature available for testing just yet. I've only seen mock-ups and things. But my understanding is that 0 touch provisioning is... Juliana Florez 49:10 Yeah. Andrew Pieper 49:25 We have some limited zero touch provision capabilities right now that basically mean when you plug in a device, you can have it automatically get pulled on to the right cloud instance if you're using our official unified hosting. We're also adding zero touch provisioning for cloud gateways now with Fabrics and you'll be able to do it for any cloud gateway instead of just cloud hosted infrastructure. So with that, I'm not sure whether we're going to have a default configuration, but I think there's going to be a lot of stuff coming. And I think you'll be happy about the features that are going to be there. It's a huge improvement for us, and I think it's going to mean our whole goal is you want to make your job easier when you're deploying Unify. It used to be in the past, the more Unify you did, the more difficult it got to manage it. We're trying to make it the opposite, where the more you're doing, the more you benefit from our features that make things quicker and easier. And so I hope you'll be happy with the feature set when you see it, but it should be coming out here in the near future. Any of the firewalls compliant for NIST, et cetera? I can't tell you about NIST compliance. Not entirely sure. I know a lot of, it depends on the compliance platform, but for instance, like if you're working with government entities, we don't have, what's the government? certification they need. So, we don't have all the the the government certifications for use in those in those cases, and so sometimes, but there are some that require you just to have like a basically a... Uh... Oh. a very appropriately configured firewall that prevents all traffic from over unacceptable ports and everything. And I'm confident there's several, like PCI compliance, for instance, we can meet by making sure that you properly configure the firewall to block all traffic and also you're segmenting all traffic on the payment. portals and all that. So I can't speak as to whether we can or not, but you can go search out on some community threads. I'm just not sure myself. I'm sure it's come up many times online. Next up from Josh, Unified Talk, any plans for improved multi-location capabilities for those of us using on-prem talk instances? Um... Yeah, so I think there's lots more features we can do there. I know that we, you know, the big, one of the big changes to the new talk phones is that we can now use them with third party, use them with third party solutions if you want to manage it with RingCentral or 3CX. So I'm sure a lot of this is capable and impossible using that. But if you want to use our integrated. PBX solution. I don't think that's supported just yet other than the way you mentioned. But I think we definitely, there's room for us to add more features there. We added a ton of features between the last talk G2 to G3. Software-wise, I would expect us to have a lot more features here. And I know there's a lot of opportunity for us to use like inner, you know, we're getting more into audio space with our amps and with protect having speakers and things, it's going to make a lot of sense for us to do more inter-app paging capabilities. And so I would look for more stuff like that in the future. So again, I think it's entirely possible to address that concern. I'm just not sure exactly when we will. Thank you, Josh. And thanks to everyone else for asking questions. If there's nothing else, we'll go ahead and let you get a few minutes back from your day. But I just want to say thanks to everyone for taking the time. Always a pleasure. And if you need anything else, feel free to reach out to the Flytec team and they can engage with us as needed. Juliana Florez 52:53 Thank you, Andrew, for this webinar, and thank you everyone for joining us today, and we hope you have a good rest of the day. Thank you. Andrew Pieper 52:54 Right, right. Thanks, everyone. Bye-bye. Juliana Florez 53:05 Bye-bye. stopped transcription
