Zyxel WAC6502D-S Dual-Band Smart Antenna Access Point
The Zyxel WAC6502D-S is an indoor business wireless access point with simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. Its 2x2 MIMO design supports two spatial streams, with wireless PHY rates of up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 866 Mbps on 5 GHz.
Zyxel Smart Antenna technology dynamically selects antenna patterns for connected clients to help improve signal delivery and manage interference. The access point suits offices, classrooms, retail locations and hospitality environments requiring configurable business Wi-Fi.

Wireless Performance
The two radios serve compatible devices on separate frequency bands. Maximum wireless rates require suitable client capabilities, channel widths and radio conditions. Actual throughput varies with interference, distance, network load and client configuration.
Connectivity and Power
Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces provide wired connectivity. Use an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ source for full wireless operation. IEEE 802.3af operation is supported with reduced transmit capability. A compatible 12 V DC, 2 A adapter is an alternative and is sold separately.
Network Management and Security
NebulaFlex Pro supports a choice of standalone, controller-managed or Nebula cloud deployment with appropriate firmware. Available business networking functions include VLAN support, WPA2-Personal and WPA2-Enterprise authentication, RADIUS integration and Layer 2 isolation. Feature availability depends on firmware and management mode.
Indoor Installation
The access point includes a ceiling mounting plate and mounting screws. Its embedded antennas eliminate the need to attach external antennas.

Compatible Products
For full wireless operation, use standards-compliant IEEE 802.3at PoE+ equipment with sufficient available power. A Gigabit Ethernet connection preserves the access point's wired interface capability.
- Tycon Power TP-SW5G-24HP Gigabit PoE+ Switch – provides manufacturer-documented IEEE 802.3at power and Gigabit Ethernet through its PoE output ports. The switch requires its own suitable power source and adequate remaining power budget.
Important: IEEE 802.3af power limits this model to one transmit spatial stream. Use IEEE 802.3at PoE+ for full 2x2 operation. Do not substitute a passive PoE source based only on its voltage or RJ45 connector.
Controller compatibility: Support is model-specific. Compatibility with the NXC controllers does not imply compatibility with every Zyxel gateway or controller generation.
